So after finding some new earth and live feeds splicing and soldering the new wires in and into the connections.the V32 upgrade disc was put into my replacement mk4 DVD sat nav player and YES graphics as the upgrade when through.then an install of a 2010 high disk with sat nav cameras.the range rover splash was there and Andy spent 30 mins running through all of the upgrades that the new system had done.

Then I called Andy in Birmingham, he trades in ebay under navtvman, his e mail is Īnd over the phone he had me removing items and plugs.until he realised what he believed to be the problem.easy fix he said to me, so today (Sun) we drove from Berks to Birmingham, Andy arrived back from church and jumped straight into the back of the rangie.a couple of checks with a multi meter found an intermitant earth and a dubios live feed to the TV tuner connectors.and as these run the graphics to the front screen Andy was confident that this was the problem. I did all of this as i only had a blank screen (so thought the screen was u/s).Ī mechanic i used took on the task of the dash removal to remove the range rover monitor and install the BMW version,and I have to say that it look brilliant, like it should have always been there, as the top facia in the dash is black the monitor and trim look the biz! On switching on alas no screen!!!!! I spent time cleaning all of the connnections in the rear to each component.still nothing AGGHHHHH I plastic primered this and then gave it 6 coats of black satin, and it matched the unit lovely. I bought a range rover monitor trim (via e bay again). I purchased through ebay a 16.9 widescreen monitor for a BMW E39 (must admit it looks great in black).

Well I thought i better give you the best news update possible.following all the advice given in relation to removing fuses, disconnecting batteries, and even blank screens being the norm in cold weather i took it upon my self to ensure a cure in my own way:
